Procedures Applied
in the Maintenance Process

01. Visual Examination

The general condition and external appearance of the motor are reviewed. The damaged, broken or worn parts are identified.

02. Cleaning

The outer surface of the motor is cleaned. Dust, dirt and oil stains are removed. The cooling chanels and fans are also cleaned.

03. Static Electrical Tests

The electrical parameters of the motor are measured. The resistance, inductance and insulation values are checked.

04. Control of Bearings/Brushes

The bearings of the motor are examined. They are maintained or the bearings are replaced when necessary.

05. Testing & Control of Coils

The stator and rotor coils are subjected to the SURGE and HIPOT tests. If damaged coils are detected according to the test results, they are repaired or wound in compliance with the original.

HIPOT Surge Test

06. Control of Fan and Cooling Systems

The cooling fans and system are controlled. The fan motor and accessories are cleaned, their bearings are replaced, and the accessories are repaired when necessary.

07. Balancing

A balance control is performed in accordance with ISO-1940-1 standard. In the case of imbalance, balance is adjusted.

08. Mechanical Control & Repair

The bearing locations on the motor covers are measured and if they are not suitable, they are repaired and their healthy operation is ensured. Abrasions on the motor shaft are checked and the runout is measured and checked for suitability and repaired. The broken or unusable materials are replaced with the new ones.

09. Turning and Spacing of Collectors & Collars

All collectors and collars are turned at 0.001 precision after measuring the ovality. The spacing and chamfering processes are applied on the collector.

10. Accessory Controls

All accessories supplied with the motor are examined, and the non-conforming ones are notified to the customer and replaced.

11. VPI Vacuum Varnishing

12. Heat Protected Kiln Drying

All vacuum varnished or cleaned motors are dried in a heat protected kiln for at least 8 hours.

13. Painting

All maintained motors are painted in their original color and made ready for shipment.

14. Testing & Reporting After Maintenance

Motors are tested under load with appropriate drives according to the label information. The outcome test report is created.
